Bulldogs acquire Dryden Kuramoto

The Bulldogs are excited to announce the addition of Forward Dryden Kuramoto from the Cowichan Valley Capitals for Future Considerations.

The 18 year old, 5’7 150 pound Kuramoto is from Burnaby, B.C and played last season with the Cowichan Valley Capitals and had a career year, with 8 goals and 24 assists good for 32 points in 51 games played. He began his career with the Chilliwack Chiefs, and has played 103 regular season and playoff games in the British Columbia Hockey League, scoring 11 times while adding 33 assists good for 44 points.

In one preseason game this fall,  he recorded two assists.

Kuramoto was recently named as the Cowichan Valley Capitals winner of the BCHL’s Kyle Turris Community Award.

Bulldogs Head Coach and GM Joe Martin commented on the acquisition: “Dryden was on the verge of a breakout season last year, and we believe playing with our group that he can attain this. He can play all three forward positions and has the potential to be an impact player on special teams”

Kuramoto will make his debut tonight when the Bulldogs visit the Clippers in Nanaimo and will wear sweater #25.

The Bulldogs conclude their preseason Friday night when they host the Cowichan Valley Capitals at the Dawg Pound.
