The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are excited to announce that they have added 2004 born Defenceman Jonathan Wong for the 2024-2025 season.
Wong is 19 years old and is from North Vancouver. The 5’9 161 pound defenceman shoots right and played the last two seasons with the Merritt Centennials of the British Columbia Hockey League. In 69 games played he scored 4 goals and added 4 assists for 8 points.
On the addition of Wong, Bulldogs Head Coach and General Manager Joe Martin stated “By adding Jonathan to our team, we’re adding experience from within our league. He’s in his last year of junior and is motivated to make it his best yet”
Wong commented ” I’m honoured for this opportunity to play for the Bulldogs in my final year of Junior. They have maintained a winning reputation and culture over the past few years that I am excited to contribute to and build upon”
Jonathan will join his teammates in #hockeyvalley in advance of the season opening Golf Tournament on August 30th at the Alberni Golf Club
