The Alberni Valley Bulldogs announced on Friday that goaltender Evan Leggett has left the club to pursue other opportunities.
The 18 year old Leggett joined the Bulldogs this season as the club’s 3rd goaltender behind Callum Tung and Hlib Artsatbanov. When Artsatbanov departed for the World Junior Championships in December, Leggett slid into the back role. Leggett appeared in one game this season against Coquitlam when he came on in relief of Tung.
“Evan’s a tremendous young man with a very bright future. One day Legg’s will pop up successfully in the professional world and I’m excited for what his future holds, I’ll be cheering for him.” Said Bulldogs head coach and general manager Joe Martin.
The Bulldogs return home tomorrow night to face the West Kelowna Warriors, game time is 7pm at the Dawg Pound. Tickets are available online by CLICKING HERE
