Alberni Valley Bulldogs fans will have to wait a little longer to catch their first glimpse of prized off season acquisition Hayden Stavroff. The BCHL announced on Monday morning that Stavroff would be suspended for 2 games after being assesses a 5 minute major for cross-checking and a match penalty on Saturday night in Langley.
Stavroff flew out of the gates on Friday night notching a hat-trick in his Bulldogs debut. On Saturday night, his evening was over before the game hit the 16 minute mark.
Stavroff will miss this weekends games, including the home opener on Saturday against the Nanaimo Clippers. He’s eligible to return to the Bulldogs line-up for the Friday October 6th matchup with the Victoria Grizzlies.
